Notice Provided by Ocean Ridge Plantation Golf

In order to enhance the overall golfing experience at Ocean Ridge Plantation, we are undertaking an exciting project this summer to renovate the greens on Panther’s Run^®.  This will ensure continued quality and customer satisfaction of this beautiful and highly favored Big Cats^TM course.

 The renovation process will take approximately thirteen weeks, from June 1^st to August 31^st.  The existing greens will be replaced with Mini-Verde Bermuda Grass which is very suitable for the conditions on Panther’s Run^® and will provide a superior playing surface for many years to come.  The Ocean Ridge Plantation Golf team has planned this capital improvement project to ensure an expeditious completion period with the least amount of disruption in play to our members.

 During this process, we are offering the following accommodations to our dues paying members:

•  All Panther’s Run^® scheduled ORLGA, ORMGA and Couples League reservations will be moved to Tiger’s Eye^® or Leopard’s Chase^® at no additional charge over and above what you would normally pay to play Panther’s Run^®
•  Ocean Ridge Plantation Golf will close either Tiger’s Eye^® or Leopard’s Chase^® on a rotating schedule, for “Dues Paying Members Only” play after 3.30 p.m. each afternoon during the Panther’s Run^® renovation period (June 1^st to August 30^th).  This “Dues Paying Members Only” play will be at no additional charge over and above what you would normally pay to play Panther’s Run^®.
•  We have made arrangements with some local area courses that will honor a discounted rate for our Members during the renovation period.  You will simply have to show your Ocean Ridge Plantation Golf Membership card at check-in.  A list of these courses will be published for your convenience at a later date.

Please be advised that to ensure everyone’s safety, no one is authorized to be on any part of the Panther’s Run^® golf course at any time during this renovation project other than employees of Ocean Ridge Plantation Golf and their contractors.  To ensure a successful outcome to this renovation project, we specifically ask that until the course opens on August 31^st, 2010, even if the greens appear to be completely “grown in”, no one tries to practice on the new greens.  If you see anyone practicing on the course prior to re-opening, please report this to the pro-shop as soon as possible.

This renovation is not only very important for Ocean Ridge Plantation Golf but also the valued membership of the Golf Club.  We greatly appreciate everyone’s patience and cooperation during this process and would like to thank you all in advance for working with us during this time.  We all look forward to one of our famous Big Cats^TM returning to the top of its game, to be enjoyed by members and guests for many years to come.
